I took Annie's scooter to the escarpment. These narrow foot
paths have shear drops that spell certain maiming and most likely death. To walk
along them is more than unsettling. The vertigo is so intense it becomes difficult
to breath. That is unless you are a mountain goat or a Thai kid, both of which
could just trot along these death defying precipices like you or I walk down
the
Mission. After all that excitement, I found the coolest bar, and what you can't sense is the perfect dub music the DJ was playing. Delicious! The sun sets quickly and so I found myself in shorts and sandals, full of shivers, zipping back to town on the scooter. First glimpse of Taku Bar (more later), then some more music and another night on the sofa, which was not planned. But I woke early to take some shots of the mist covered village... |
